Third in a series discussion how the four Regional IPM Centers fund projects.
Hot off the press, Co-Director Carrie Koplinka-Loehr of the Northeastern IPM Center just provided a summary of project funding there. I have split the table she sent into two so it will fit our blog format.
Table 1: NEIPMC Project Funding, SNPs and Total
| Year | SNP | All other | Total |
| 2009 | 6 projects | 18 projects | 24 projects |
| $ 55,500 | $340,750 | $396,250 | |
| 2008 | 7 projects | 21 projects | 28 projects |
| $ 105,093 | $407,606 | $ 512,699 | |
| 2007 | 7 projects | 21 projects | 28 projects |
| $ 190,000 | $337,680 | $ 527,680 | |
| 2006 | 6 projects | 13 projects | 19 projects |
| $ 210,625 | $266,798 | $ 477,423 | |
| 2005 | 6 projects | 14 projects | 20 projects |
| $ 203,500 | $214,163 | $ 417,663 | |
| 2004 | 6 projects | 15 projects | 21 projects |
| $ 244,714 | $304,953 | $ 549,667 |
State Network Projects (SNP) are functionally very similar to the Southern Region’s “State Contact” projects. Don’t be misled by what appears to be a very low (6) number per project and a high per-project cost. One of the these projects is the ProNewEngland group led by the University of Maine but comprising all 6 New England states. So on a “per state” basis, SNPs have gone from about $20,000 in 2004 to about $5,000 in 2009.
All other project types are presented in table 2:
