Regional IPM Center Competitive Accounts 3: Northeastern IPM Center

Third in a series discussion how the four Regional IPM Centers fund projects.

Hot off the press, Co-Director Carrie Koplinka-Loehr of the Northeastern IPM Center just provided a summary of project funding there. I have split the table she sent into two so it will fit our blog format.

Table 1: NEIPMC Project Funding, SNPs and Total

Year SNP All other Total
2009 6 projects 18 projects 24 projects
$ 55,500 $340,750 $396,250
2008 7 projects 21 projects 28 projects
$ 105,093 $407,606 $ 512,699
2007 7 projects 21 projects 28 projects
$ 190,000 $337,680 $ 527,680
2006 6 projects 13 projects 19 projects
$ 210,625 $266,798 $ 477,423
2005 6 projects 14 projects 20 projects
$ 203,500 $214,163 $ 417,663
2004 6 projects 15 projects 21 projects
$ 244,714 $304,953 $ 549,667

State Network Projects (SNP) are functionally very similar to the Southern Region’s “State Contact” projects. Don’t be misled by what appears to be a very low (6) number per project and a high per-project cost. One of the these projects is the ProNewEngland group led by the University of Maine but comprising all 6 New England states. So on a “per state” basis, SNPs have gone from about $20,000 in 2004 to about $5,000 in 2009.

All other project types are presented in table 2:
