The difference between bed bugs and ticks

When I check out the stats on our blog, I often look at the search terms that people use to find our blog. A couple of days ago, I noticed that someone searched for “the difference between bed bugs and ticks,” and I thought, that’s a great question! So I’m going to try to answer it.

New Study on Bedbugs and Bacteria: What has it found?

Last week, news about a new study on bed bugs flooded the media. The study seemed to dispute the theory that bed bugs, unlike other blood-sucking insects like mosquitoes and ticks, do not transmit disease. Based on results from a poverty-stricken community in Vancouver, British Columbia, the study concludes that in certain circumstances, bedbugs may have the potential to transmit bacteria.

What’s Good about Bedbugs?

I just returned last night from a few days in Washington, DC, and as usual, I scouted my mattress for bed bugs. I know I’m not the only person who is edgy about the pesky little critters, as they were a primary topic of conversation nearly all week.  However, as creepy as the thought of bed bugs makes me feel, it doesn’t have that effect on everyone.
