For years, bedbugs have been turning up in sometimes odd and random places, such as subways, movie theaters, dressing rooms and schools, but scientists believed that to flourish, the insects would need more frequent access to human blood meals.
Turns out they don’t.

Bats, an organic method of pest control, may become rare in the United States and Canada.
The primary predators of night-flying insects, bats reduce the need for chemical pesticides and save the agriculture industry an estimated $3 billion per year in pest-control costs. But bat populations across the Eastern United States are decreasing at alarming rates because of a fungus thought to be imported from Europe.

Through work done at the University of Arkansas, plant pathologist Yannis Tzanetakis (pronounced Zan-tak-is) has identified a new virus which is called Soybean Vein Necrosis Virus. The researchers now have proof that the virus causes the disease Soybean Vein Necrosis.
