IPM Enhancement Grant RFA is available online

We are pleased to announce the release of the 2015 Request for Applications (RFA) for the IPM Enhancement Grants. Deadline for proposals is Friday, January 16 at 5 PM EST.

Please note that the RFA has changed significantly this year. We are using a new outcome-based approach to solicit proposals, so it will affect the way that you compose and submit your proposal.

You can access the RFA by going to the proposal system where you can find the RFA and all of the forms, http://projects.ipmcenters.org/Southern/public/ViewRFA.cfm?rfaid=79

Please read through the entire RFA before beginning your planning, as much of the structure for the project narrative has changed. To explain the new format, we conducted a webinar on Wednesday, December 10 at 2:00 PM Eastern time. You can access the webinar recording at http://youtu.be/8NZxbv3fMOs .

Project directors can apply for one of four (4) project types:

  •  IPM Documents – up to $30,000, but budget must be commensurate with the number, scope and complexity of outputs (PMSPs, Crop Profiles and IPM Priorities projects) proposed.
  • Seed or Capstone - up to $30,000
  •  IPM Working Group - up to $40,000; please read RFA for requirements

Projects are limited to one year. When determining your project start and end dates, note that funds will be available as early as March 1, 2015, and must be expended by February 28, 2016.

Be sure to download and use THIS YEAR’s forms when putting together your proposal. Do not substitute NIFA forms or forms from previous IPM Enhancement grant RFAs.

If you have any questions concerning content of your proposal, please contact Jim VanKirk at jim@sripmc.org or 919-513-8179. For technical questions regarding submission of a proposal, or if you hit the SUBMIT button before you finished uploading forms, contact Alex Belskis at abelskis@cipm.info or 919-522-5602 or Rosemary Hallberg at rhallberg@sripmc.org or 919-513-8182.
