2017 Annual Imported Fire Ant and Other Invasive Ants Conference

The 2017 Imported Fire Ant and Other Invasive Ants Conference will be meeting in Mobile, AL on May 16-18, 2017.  The conference will be held at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel  in Mobile, AL.   Information about the conference is posted at: http://articles.extension.org/pages/19257/imported-fire-ant-and-invasive-pest-ant-conferenceToday we added information about the hotel venue.  Please note that the deadline for making hotel reservations is April 16, 2017.  Information on meeting registration and paper/poster submission will be posted in January.

Getting There

The Mobile Regional Airport is 14 miles from the hotel.  You can also look into flying into the Pensacola International Airport (57 miles away) or the Gulfport/Biloxi International Airport (72 miles away).

 A room block has been reserved at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel  for May 14 through May 20, 2017.  If you make reservations by phone, mention “Auburn University Dept of Entomology-Imported Fire Ant and Invasive Ant Conference 2017.”

Parking is $15/day for self service and $20/day for valet parking.  The hotel does not provide a shuttle to the airport.
