Taking a Bite out of the Holidays: Bed Bug Central’s Holiday Charity Matches PMPs with People in Need

From StopPests in MultiFamily Housing

Do you know anyone who needs bed bug treatment but can’t afford it? Taking the Bite Out of the Holidays, which started in 2009, is a charitable program sponsored by BedBug Central that offers free bed bug services to those in need who are suffering from bed bug infestations and cannot afford the required treatment to better their living situation. Anyone in financial need may apply for the charitable program, including group homes, shelters and nursing homes.

In order to be considered, applicants must submit a letter in 200 words or less explaining why the charitable bed bug treatments would be of value to them. Once applicants are selected, they will be paired with participating pest control companies in their area. The pest control professionals will then arrive at the home or facility sometime in December or January and render their bed bug services in an effort to better the living situation and provide some relief from the stress associated with bed bug infestations.

These efforts are not intended to eliminate all bed bugs from your home or facility but instead to better the living environment and provide you with some comfort as the holiday season approaches.

Application Process

If you are interested in participating in this program or you wish to recommend someone, please submit a letter in 200 words or less on why you or your facility could use charitable bed bug treatments for the holidays. Please include your contact information and address.

You can Email your submission here: takingthebite@bedbugcentral.com
