Industrial Hemp 24th Annual Conference Announced

ASA, CSSA, and the University of Kentucky are pleased to announce a partnership with Hemp Industries Association (HIA) on their 24th Annual Conference in Lexington, Kentucky, September 9-11, 2017.

The three-day conference brings together industrial hemp science, industry, and policy experts for the first time to “Share the Vision”.

As more and more states establish industrial hemp pilot research programs, it becomes imperative for all entities to come together to define and begin addressing research needs from diverse perspectives: agronomic science, fiber and food science, and commodity economics.

The conference opens September 9 with University of Kentucky’s Industrial Hemp Farming Tour which will include the 3rd annual UK agronomic science industrial hemp research field day, an on-farm visit to witness field-scale hemp grain harvesting, and a tour of one of the largest hemp processing facilities in the U.S.

The conference continues on September 10-11 with science, policy, and industry educational tracks, hybrid sessions, a robust exhibit hall, scientific poster sessions, and hosted networking time.
