Crop Protection and Pest Management RFA has been released

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is pleased to announce the release of the FY 2018 Crop Protection and Pest Management Program (CPPM) Request for Applications (RFA). NIFA is requesting applications for the Applied Research and Development Program (ARDP) and the Regional Coordination Program (RCP) areas of the CPPM program in this solicitation.

Regarding FY 2017 CPPM Extension Implementation Program (EIP) area grants, NIFA will request continuation applications for the CPPM EIP with directed RFAs to the respective institutions.

The CPPM program supports projects that will address high priority issues related to pests, including insects, nematodes, pathogens, weeds, and other pests and their management using integrated pest management (IPM) approaches at the state, regional, and national levels. The outcomes of the CPPM program are effective, affordable, and environmentally sound IPM practices and strategies needed to maintain agricultural productivity and healthy communities.
