Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Conference coming Jan. 9-10

The 2017 Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Conference will have something of interest for all fruit and vegetable producers. The event runs from 8 a.m. EST Jan. 9 until 5 p.m. Jan. 10 at Lexington’s Embassy Suites Hotel.

Preconference activities on Jan. 8 will include tree fruit, small fruit and vegetable roundtable discussions as well as a plasticulture strawberry short course. Continue reading

Alabama Fruit and Vegetable Growers Conference Scheduled For Nov. 17-18

The Alabama Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association’s annual fall conference is slated for Nov. 17-18 at the Clanton Conference and Performing Arts Center in Clanton. The conference will focus on farm visits, hands-on training and the ever-changing fruit and vegetable industry.

Check in starts at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 17, with the opening session starting at 8:30 a.m. Conference registration is $85. Continue reading

East Texas Fruit and Vegetable Conference to offer tips, tricks for amateur and expert growers

The inaugural East Texas Fruit and Vegetable Conference will offer professional and amateur producers tips on everything from wildlife management to vegetable and fruit production and marketing.

The event will be Aug. 19 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, 1710 Farm-to-Market Road 3053 in Overton. There is a $30 fee for individuals and $50 for couples. The deadline to register is Aug. 1. There is an additional $5 charge for late registration. Continue reading
