APHIS Announces FY 2019 Open Period Dates for the Plant Pest and Disease Management and Disaster Prevention Program

The United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) announced today the dates of the fiscal year (FY) 2019 open period for submitting suggestions to implement the Plant Pest and Disease Management and Disaster Prevention Program.  The FY 2019 open period will last seven weeks from July 2, 2018, through August 17, 2018.  There will be $75 million available with at least $5 million going to the National Clean Plant Network (NCPN).  The open period for submitting NCPN project suggestions will be announced separately. APHIS will accept proposals for FY 2018 NCPN cooperative agreements from July 17, 2017 through October 6, 2017

The NCPN provides high-quality, propagated plant material that is free of plant pathogens and pests that can cause economic losses to the American specialty crop industry. USDA’s goal is to create an effective, uniform, consistent, efficient, and highly self-sufficient network of clean plant centers serving the needs of specialty crop industry.

Funding will be provided to Land-Grant Universities, Non Land-Grant Colleges of Agriculture, State Agricultural Experiment Stations, State Governments, and Federal Agencies to support implementation and ongoing activities of the NCPN. Continue reading

The United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) announced today the dates of the fiscal year (FY) 2018 open period for submitting suggestions to implement Plant Pest and Disease Management and Disaster Prevention Programs of the 2014 Farm Bill. USDA Seeks Applications for Fiscal Year 2017 National Clean Plant Network Cooperative Agreements

USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is inviting stakeholders to submit applications for fiscal year (FY) 2017 National Clean Plant Network (NCPN) projects under the 2014 Farm Bill Section 10007.
