Assistant/Associate Professor in Entomology and Plant Pathology

The Department of Urban Forestry and Natural Resources at Southern University A &M invites applications for a 9-month, full-time tenure-track faculty position in Entomology and/or Plant Pathology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful applicant will be expected to (1) develop and teach foundation and applied courses and labs in urban forest entomology, plant pathology, plant health care, and integrated pest management to strengthen the urban forestry curriculum for BS, MS, and PhD programs and graduate certificate programs in Urban Forest Science and Natural Resource Management (2) obtain external teaching and research funding that will involve both undergraduate and graduate students, (3) advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, (4) commit to excellence in teaching, research and service to the university and community.
