NEHA is accepting abstracts for second Enhancing Environmental Health Knowledge (EEK): Vectors and Public Health Pests Virtual Conference

The National Environmental Health Association is now accepting submissions for abstracts to present at its second Enhancing Environmental Health Knowledge (EEK): Vectors and Public Health Pests Virtual Conference on May 15 – 16, 2018.

The EEK Virtual Conference is designed to enhance the knowledge of environmental health professionals to help them respond to events of public health concern, as well as bring professionals from multiple sectors together to exchange information and discover new solutions to issues in vectors and public health pests.

The conference will take place May 15-16 and abstracts are due March 21st, 2018. All presentations will be pre-recorded and there is no cost to participate or attend. Environmental Health Association hosts free 2-day virtual conference on public health pests

With concerns about the Zika virus spreading, the national Environmental Health Association is hosting a two-day virtual conference on public health pests.

The April 13 and 14 event is free and open to everyone. The live presentations are “Zika in the U.S.: What Environmental Health and Pest Management Professionals Need to Know – Updates” on April 13, and “Clueless or Terrified? Helping People Understand Health Risks” on April 14. In addition, the conference features a virtual poster hall and discussion sessions. Continue reading

EEK: Vectors and Public Health Pests Virtual Conference

This conference is designed to enhance the knowledge of environmental health professionals in order to help them better prepare to respond to environmental events of public health concern as well as to bring professionals together in a unique virtual environment to exchange information and discover new solutions to issues in vectors and public health pests.

EEK: Vectors and Public Health Pests Virtual Conference is funded through a partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Environmental Health. The conference is sponsored by the National Environmental Health Association.
